My Approach to Helping
I provide remote or in-person neuropsychological evaluations, specializing in the impact of emotional wellness on learning (& vice-versa), and assessment of ADHD, anxiety, depression, temperamental & sensory sensitivity (i.e., highly sensitive children), autism spectrum, neurodiversity, and various learning differences (i.e., dyslexia, nonverbal learning disorder).
My approach is strengths-based and non-pathologizing, informed by neuroscientific research and experience practicing Health Psychology in primary medical care settings. I have 17 years of clinical experience and am licensed in California, Massachusetts, and Hawaii. (For Massachusetts residents, I am able to offer telehealth and evening hours.)
My training has included a post-doctoral fellowship in Neurodevelopment at Harvard Medical School at McLean Hospital, Center for Neurodevelopmental Services – where I subsequently served as an instructor of Psychology and staff psychologist. I have also worked at The Hallowell Center, LD & ADHD Center of Hawaii, & Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.
COVID-19 Safety Precautions: I follow CDC guidelines to minimize risk, including sanitation (i.e., availing hand sanitizer, wiping down high-contact surfaces, frequent handwashing), masking, using a HEPA filtration air purifier, distancing (i.e., conducting neuropsych evals with 6-ft distance), and other guidelines set forth by an Inter-Organizational Practice Committee of neuropsychologists (https:abn-board.comwp-contentuploads202006IOPC-Models-of-Care-During-COVID-19-Pandemic.pdf)
