My Approach to Helping
I provide remote or in-person neuropsychological evaluations, specializing in the impact of emotional wellness on learning (& vice-versa), and assessment of ADHD, anxiety, depression, temperamental hypersensitivity (i.e., highly sensitive children or "HSC's"), mild autism & "broader autism phenotype" (BAP), sensory processing challenges, and various learning differences (i.e., dyslexia, nonverbal learning disorder).
My approach is strengths-based and non-pathologizing, informed by neuroscientific research and experience practicing Health Psychology in primary medical care settings. I have 16 years of clinical experience and am licensed in Massachusetts and Hawaii (and provisionally in California, whose Board of Psychology has permitted me to practice during my licensure process).
My training has included a post-doctoral fellowship in Neurodevelopment at Harvard Medical School at McLean Hospital, Center for Neurodevelopmental Services – where I served as an instructor in Psychology, and subsequently, a staff psychologist. I have also worked at The Hallowell Center, LD & ADHD Center of Hawaii, & Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.
COVID-19 Safety Precautions: I follow CDC guidelines to minimize risk, including sanitation (i.e., availing hand sanitizer, wiping down high-contact surfaces, frequent handwashing), wearing a mask, using a HEPA filtration air purifier, social distancing (i.e., conducting neuropsych evals predominantly from an adjacent room in the office), and other guidelines set forth by an Inter-Organizational Practice Committee of neuropsychologists (https:abn-board.comwp-contentuploads202006IOPC-Models-of-Care-During-COVID-19-Pandemic.pdf)
