My Approach to Helping
Counseling can help bring to light to what is holding us back from truly feeling happy and embracing the quality of living that we desire. Sometimes things that happen outside of our control can make us feel overwhelmed and out of balance. The counseling process aims to help us feel present in our own lives, achieve an optimal level of productivity, and discover a positive feeling of self-worth. In addition, the safe, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship offers an atmosphere where we feel supported, understood, and accepted; we are free to heal from past traumas, improve current relationships, and set the stage to lead a better life.
Taylor uses an integrative approach to individual, adolescent, couples, and family counseling, emphasizing awareness, validation, self-healing, and forgiveness. The techniques she uses are based on each client's unique situation and specific needs. She creates a safe, encouraging place where clients can be supported by the therapeutic relationship, which she believes is the most important component for facilitating change. Taylor earned her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Hope International University. She is a certified Marriage and Family Therapist. She has extensive experience with adolescents, young adults, and men and women of all ages.
Taylor offers a free consultation to all new clients. She will discuss your individual situation and current needs and answer any questions that you may have about counseling. If you think you may benefit from individual, couples, adolescent or family therapy, call today to schedule a visit at one of her Northern Colorado counseling offices.
