My Approach to Helping
Everyone decides to come to therapy for a different reason. For some, it's because they have been feeling down for a long time. Others, because they need someone outside of themselves or their loved ones to talk to. For others still, it is because they feel that they need perspective on their thoughts and feelings that they find distressing. Therapy is a great place to gain valuable insights into our internal experiences, improve relationships, and find more effective ways of moving through life.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure to help people link their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings to begin to motivate them toward change, and begin to find a life worth living.
I have been in the field for more than 12 years and I love what I do. I love meeting new clients and getting to know what they are hoping to achieve and the lives they hope to lead once they feel better and different. What are you hoping to achieve?
