My philosophy and approach to helping people is to start where the individual is emotionally, and to learn about their life as it has been experienced thus far, both its problems and its satisfactions. As I listen, questions are formulated around places where there may be blockages, distortions or dissatisfactions, and these are explored without judgment in the form of discussion. This allows for feeling, thought, memory and fantasies to be talked about and worked through, which enables the personality to mature further.
