My Approach to Helping

I was "schooled" primarily in Family Systems Theory and Therapy; but am familiar and comfortable with a myriad of therapeutic approaches (brief, client - centered, object relations, cognitive - behavioral, etc). Taken altogether, these approaches and orientations "boil down" to being actively engaged in listening, questioning to help clients clarify their own thinking and choices, being nurturant as well as CONSTRUCTIVELY confrontational - and mainly dealing with circumstances, both past and present in an honest, acceptant and judgment - free atmosphere - toward helping people make their own useful choices.

More Info About My Practice

I do work with a billing agency based out of Syracuse, NY: O'Brien's Billing Service - phone number: (315)437-1451. Any interested prospective client could call them first to address fee and insurance issues.
I am also willing to charge within a "sliding scale"; enabling clients of varying financial circumstances to access my services. I will not exclude ANY client(s) based on ability to pay.
