My Approach to Helping
I am a counselor with experience in treating anxiety, anger, depression, and trauma-related illnesses. I also work with clients having difficulty adjusting to change or relationship problems. Seeking counseling can be empowering by helping you to figure out the steps you need to take to bring a sense of clarity, calmness and direction into your life. This can sometimes be hard to do when feeling unmotivated, doubtful or stuck. And when having to manage difficult emotions, negative thoughts or believing that you do not have the resources or ability to improve your life. I assure you that change is possible. I offer individual counseling sessions and work collaboratively with my clients to develop a treatment plan tailored to fit their needs. I am trained in a variety of treatment models including CBT, Person-Centered, and Strengths-based techniques. I also assist clients with identifying ways to manage their symptoms by developing healthy coping skills.
