My Approach to Helping
** Immediate openings beginning June 27, 2023!** Do you have a child or teenager who is struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, peer relationships, andor depression? Is your child showing a lot of anger, refusing to go to school, or getting in trouble at school often? Is your child staying in their room all day, or rarely coming out to interact with the family? This pandemic has brought on a lot of personal struggles for our youth, especially when peer interaction is so important to them.
I am a recently retired middle school counselor and former special education teacher who specializes in working with elementary, middle and high school aged children, special needs included. My experience allows me to help in many areas including anxiety, stress management, grievingloss, behavioral concerns, school motivation, depression, ADHD, self-injury, and LGBTQ+.
I am here to assist you with those difficulties you or your child may be encountering in life through a kind, compassionate, nonjudgmental approach. Regardless of the problems you are experiencing, my goal is to provide support, understand the motivations, work with you to set goals for your future, and develop tools to reach them.
**Now also working with school professionals during these challenging times**
