My Approach to Helping
Are behavior or social problems in school affecting your child's happiness or learning? Does your child seem worried, frustrated or sad frequently about school? Therapy is a safe and confidential place to talk about feelings, and receive trained feedback to help you and your child sort out problems.
In practice for the past 25 years as a licensed clinical social work, working with regular and special education students, I provide a wide range of therapeutic techniques to help resolve problems. I also consult with parents on effective social emotional and behavioral interventions and adaptations which could be implemented at school to support your son or daughter in the classroom.
I have successfully worked with students and their families to enhance student's self-esteem, strengthen peer relations, increase effort with school work, improve overall functioning in class, and relieve painful feelings.
