My Approach to Helping
I mainly use Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS),a psycho-spiritual approach that is the most non-judgmental, kind, gentle, and effective method I know. In IFS, no part of yourself is ever considered bad. Even though you may have been taught otherwise, you are healthy at your very core, and you can learn to access that core aspect of you. More Info About My Practice
Sessions are strictly confidential, and I am currently doing them only online through a very secure, confidential portal. Therefore, illness and bad weather are not an issues. When seeking a psychotherapist, you will, of course, want someone who is qualified and highly ethical. These things are basic. Perhaps most importantly, you will look for a good "fit" between you and the therapist, someone you feel comfortable with and who will not judge you. I am happy to receive phone calls or emails with your questions or concerns.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

But in addition, because I have had so much life experience, I also relate to many people's issues. This means I am in no position to judge you, and I do not. It also means I have a certain understanding for what others are going through because of my own experiences.
