My Approach to Helping

Hi There!

Every emotion, thought, or feeling we experience in our hearts is valid and has the potential to impact our lives. Feeling intense emotions can be challenging to process, and at times we need to seek clarity for what we are experiencing in the present moment. Everyone is unique, and everyone's story is different. I want to encourage my clients to be their authentic self, engage in creative expression, and heal.

My name is Paige Rocker (sheherhers), and I am an LPC-Associate supervised by Jennifer Buffalo, MA, LPC-S, LMFT, NCC at Luminary Counseling, PLLC. I graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling.

As a Therapist, I want to create light within my clients and provide an affirming, warm experience. I enjoy helping clients explore their gender, racial and sexual identities. I believe the healing process starts when giving the client the power to give themselves a sense of encouragement and fulfillment. It is vital for me to see my clients as a whole person rather than a sum of parts. I enjoy bringing humor and laughter into the counseling room when appropriate. While we are cultivating an authentic connection, it is essential for me to empower my clients to create their own world and to help them notice certain traits within themselves that enhance their ability to make healthy changes and progress throughout our sessions. At the end of the day, YOU are the expert on your life and the experiences you have gone through, but I will be there for you through a collaborative approach. I am passionate about staying present in the here and now with each client while respecting your worldview and acknowledging those feelings that come with it. I am committed to providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients will be empowered to not just live but to thrive.
