My Approach to Helping
I will offer you an individualized approach to therapy that will meet your specific goals and needs. I will work with you believing that you are the expert in “you”. I will guide your process to unlock the answers that you need. My job is to help you identify and understand the patterns of behavior that are tripping you up in life.
My integrative approach draws on a variety of tools and techniques. I combine psychodynamic therapy, positive psychology (the science of well-being and happiness), solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and coaching.

I enjoy guiding my clients in uncovering their blind spots, enabling them to hear their inner voice to gain awareness and self-understanding.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I view therapy as a process of growth, healing, and change. I approach it as a partnership in which we work toward you reaching a more fulfilling and joyful life. With 25+ years of training and a deep understanding of life's complexity, my areas of specialty include relationships, career and work issues, midlife and retirement transitions, loss and grief, and multicultural awareness.
I grew up in Argentina, earned an MA in Educational Psychology in Argentina, completed an MA in Clinical Social Work in the US, and am a Certified Life Coach. I emigrated to NYC as an adult and reinvented myself in the business world while continuing my career in the mental health field. My diverse experience includes hospitals, research for the NIH, schools, hospice, social services organizations, and community centers. After 20 years in NYC, I moved to Miami and became a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist in Florida, as well as an adjunct faculty member at UM and FIU.
Given my own life experience, from adjusting to a new country, to partnering with international business executives, and both bicultural and bilingual, I am uniquely positioned to work with a diversity of clients in all walks of life, culture, and backgrounds.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
You have already chosen to create a new present and future for yourself. Because I can quickly grasp the core of who you are, what you hope for and what is holding you back from achieving your goals, I invite you to a free telephone consultation, to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy. It is important that you find a therapist who is a good fit for you, who you feel ?gets you?, and most important, someone with whom you feel a connection. I encourage you to call to get a better understanding of whether we click with each other. I offer a flexible schedule that includes evenings hours and both online and face-to-face sessions. I am currently seeing clients across Florida online. Let us together find your path to experiencing life at its fullest!
