My Approach to Helping
Michael utilizes a strengths-based, person-centered approach while also incorporating the modalities of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), talk therapy, child play therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Michael Boyer’s great passion is bringing healing to individuals who have been through or are going through stressful experiences. Michael Boyer assists his clients, who include children, adolescents, and adults in finding healthy perceptions of themselves so they can know themselves as peaceful, whole, complete, and safe. As you encounter the challenges of your life you need to know you are not alone.
Michael Boyer also has firsthand experience interacting with people who have special needs as well as families of those individuals. He knows the struggles and joy’s that surround having a loved one with special needs. He is a great resource for parents especially in caring for the care giver. He is very caring, understanding and humorous.
Michael Boyer has experience as an EMT, CNA and Probation Officer. He understands the trauma that First Responders experience from the various positions he has held. If you’re a First Responder then Michael’s the therapist for you.
Michael also works with those who struggle with Drugs and Alcoholism. He works with the individual helping them to find and utilize their strengths. He is a great source of support as you work through the various stages of recovery.
