Becoming a parent is one of the biggest transitions in life and often one we are not wholly prepared for or supported in by our community or even our partner, try as they might. There is often so much pressure to express only the positive experiences of motherhood and that pressure can lead women feeling isolated and bad. I seek to help relive you of the pressure to be perfect and find ways to be loved and supported in your journey.

More Info About My Practice

There are parts of the self that want to be recognized and connected with but overtime have become hidden. Reconnecting to these parts of yourself in a safe and collaborative environment can lead to becoming unblocked both creatively and psychically.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

The transition to parenthood and the pre and post natal period, aka postpartum. The transition to parenthood is both exciting and overwhelming at times. How you and your partner negotiation this period can set you up for wonderful success.

My Role as a Therapist

The role of the therapist is to guide the client. This allows the client to explore areas of their mind and their relationships they may not be able to see on their own.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

In general, therapy lasts anywhere from a few months to a few years depending on the issues being addressed. Together we will determine when therapy is complete. We can think together about whether your goals been met. Are you more satisfied with your life and more connected to the people around you? These might be some questions we think about together in order to determine if therapy is complete.
