My Approach to Helping
Leah Yarmus is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with more than 15 years of experience. She works with adults and seniors who are suffering from anxiety, depression, poor coping skills, grief, difficult life transitions, stress, relationship issues, low self-esteem, sexual abuse, LGBTQIA+ issues, stress, substance use, trauma, PTSD, and women's issues. Leah completed her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at Temple University and her Master's degree in Social Work Degree at Rutgers University. She is comfortable drawing from an eclectic approach, including mind-body exercises, safety planning, and solutions-focused brief therapy (SFBT), to longer-term models such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). When you come to Leah for therapy, you will be met by a clinician who leads with curiosity, warmth, and openness. Leah believes that you are the expert in your own experience and looks forward to collaborating with you to achieve your goals. Therapy is a unique environment that offers you the space to process, reflect and build upon the skills you already have. Leah looks forward to providing that for you.
