My Approach to Helping

I specialize in helping women overcome and heal from issues with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I understand how the particular obstacles, problems, and stressors that we as women face can impact our mental health. The overwhelming responsibilities, the struggle to balance different roles, the constant worries, life transitions, identity issues, low self-esteem, relationship conflict, unrealistic expectations from society and family, can leave us feeling like we're going through life on survival mode.
I'm a counselor with advanced training in trauma, and marriage and family therapy, used to treat the individual. I work from a relational and feminist perspective, using a wide variety of therapeutic approaches including but not limited to EMDR to help you heal from trauma and past emotional injuries, as well as cognitive-behavioral therapy to help you see and experience challenges from a different perspective. I want to inspire you to listen to your own needs and be true to yourself, to help you embrace your own power.
