My Approach to Helping

Hello and welcome. Whether you are new to therapy or have worked with other providers in the past, you are the expert on your own life. My practice is a virtual collaborative space for you to express yourself without fear of judgment. I offer a safe space to help you reach your personal and therapeutic goals. My approach incorporates years of practicing and studying methods of psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, post-traumatic growth, and behavior modification.

I am a licensed clinical social worker providing virtual mental health services to New York State residents. I specialize in child, adolescent, and young adult mental health. I have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep problems, life changes, child behavioral problems, and ADHD. I also have experience in substance use disorders and developmental disorders. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral techniques to help you (or your child) feel more in control of your (or their) emotions and behaviors.

Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal process and it is essential that you feel a connection with the therapist you choose. If you are interested in making an appointment, please call me for a free initial consultation. I offer individual therapy, parent management training, diagnostic evaluations, and social work supervision (for practicing social workers). The focus of treatment, frequency of sessions, length of treatment, and cost are all decided on an individual basis based on individual needs, which will be discussed in the first several sessions. All services are virtual.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Therapy styles should be tailored to the needs of the client (you). Depending on these needs, therapy can be short-term or long-term. In my practice, I incorporate evidence-based treatments on a virtual platform to help you achieve your goals. Using these practices will help you (or your child) feel more in control of your (or their) emotions and behaviors. By creating a better mind and body connection, we can better regulate our emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and utilize skillful behaviors.
