My Approach to Helping

I work with bright and capable individuals who have secretly self-medicating through addictive behaviors.

Many of my clients, despite their accomplishments and success, struggle with heavy self-doubt and strong inner critics. They often silently suffer from depression, anxiety, or stress so severe the only way they seem able to escape is through addictive behaviors. After awhile, they start to lose control over these self-medicating behavior, and addiction becomes a new problem.

As a therapist, I create a safe space to help my clients to explore their love-hate relationship with addictive behavior, understand and honor the purpose these self-medicating behaviors serve in their lives, and then replace these behaviors with healthier alternatives.

If you have been secretly questioning your drinking or drug use;
If you have been wanting to regain control of your addictive behavior but don't know how to;
If you want to cut down or quit but are scared of the idea of abstinence...
You are NOT alone, and I can help!

I also currently offer a free monthly workshop as well as an ongoing 8-session group

More Info About My Practice

I believe everyone has their unique needs in recovery, and some people's needs could be better met in a group setting. Therefore, besides individual therapy, I also provide an 8-session Sober Curiosity Group in my practice.

This Sober Curisoty group is for you if you don't want to give up alcohol entirely but wonder what a break from alcohol can do to your body, mind, and spirit. In this month-long group, we will meet eight times and take a deep dive into understanding you and your relationship with alcohol. You are invited to join us in this journey to explore ways to cultivate a new, healthy, and more mindful relationship with alcohol!

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Struggling with addictive behavior could be scary and isolating, but not everyone is ready or able to go to therapy.

To support individuals who are questioning their drinking or drug use behavior but are on the fence about going to therapy, I offer a FREE Monthly Sober Curiosity Workshop.

In this online workshop, you will--have a safe space to talk freely about your love-hate relationship with alcohol; learn about what makes changing your drinking behavior so hard; practice practical tools to help you make healthy changes; become informed about the available resource for you to support your sober journey.
