My Approach to Helping
My approach to therapy is to be a focal point for you when you are ready to walk down a new path in life. While change can be tough, I will be right there with you every step of the way! I pride myself in using genuine empathy and compassion to build a therapeutic relationship that provides an atmosphere of trust and honesty. Only when the soul is unmasked can the real work begin. I use a variety of techniques to meet therapeutic goals and have successfully treated numerous individuals, all with a different set of struggles.
An area of specialty and personal interest of mine is perinatal adjustment. My goal is to help women in any stage of motherhood, including pregnancy, feel like herself again and help her balance her new identity with her old one. Motherhood forces a woman to reach outside of herself to be the most patient, selfless, nurturing, and strongest version of herself. As a mother of three, I understand it can be very scary navigating the new world of motherhood and not knowing when you will feel like yourself again. With all the joys motherhood brings, it can also produce feelings of anxiety, isolation, and hopelessness. I would love to be apart of your journey in learning how to create and sustain joy in your new world!
