My Approach to Helping
Life is sometimes not as kind to us as we would like it to be. Whether it be past traumas, relationship issues, depression, or anxiety, you are taking the first step in choosing wellness by seeking therapy. As a therapist, I am here to create a supportive and safe environment for you to share your story and become the best version of yourself. Together we will utilize this space to identify areas in your life that you want to improve, as well as build upon the skills that you already have in your toolbox. My goal as a therapist is to help you discover and build upon your strengths, while helping meet your goals and work through any tough situations that you may be experiencing.
I have specialized in working with adolescents and young adults experiencing depression, anxiety, familial stress, and work or school stress. With all clients, I am here to meet you where you are. I utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. Using a strengths-based approach with an emphasis on empowerment, I am here to support you during your self-discovery journey.
