My Approach to Helping
Becoming a parent for the first or second time can feel like an emotional roller coaster. I work with pregnant women and new moms and dads who are struggling with the transition to parenthood. I will work with you on increasing coping strategies to deal with the new stress of parenthood. I also teach mindfulness practice to help with increasing the pleasant and joyful parts of becoming a new parent. I work on helping parents feel like themselves again.
I know that getting out of the house with a newborn is never easy, which is why I offer in-home sessions for new moms. I want to make sure that every mom who may be struggling with postpartum mental health issues is getting the help they need. It can be an exciting time but also overwhelming and isolating. Postpartum stress, anxiety, and depression is never something you want to go through alone.
