My Approach to Helping
As your therapist, I am invested in building authentic working relationships that foster growth and personal fulfillment. Together we will identify any barriers to making positive changes, and develop strategies to overcome them. It is my honor to help you live to your full potential individually and in your relationships.
My specialty areas are relationship issues, anxiety, depression, life transitions, situational stress, eating disorders, trauma and PTSD, grief, and loss.
I use a variety of approaches in my work including cognitive/cognitive behavioral, insight oriented, psychoeducational, mindfulness, and relational psychotherapy. I have particular training and expertise in the areas of EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFT) and often use these treatment approaches in my work.
