I have the education, extensive training, many years of life experiences, but one thing is know is the best teachers are you, the client. I am fascinated by the resilience, strength, and hope that people have despite not having an easy path in life. People need a safe space to share their emotions, history and challenges - sometimes for the first time - without feeling judgment. I believe a heart-to-heart connection between the therapist and client is where the healing takes place. This sounds like, and is, serious business, but that doesn't mean we can't share a laugh once in a while. After all, it is the best medicine.
