Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
The client-therapist relationship is one of, if not the most important aspects of therapeutic work. Relationships build over time, in a safe and supportive environment. It is one of the fundamental elements of my work as a therapist,
whether it is your first time in therapy or you've had previous therapists. There are different therapeutic approaches, but each therapist brings their own style and individuality into the mix.
I consider what my client's share with me to be a combination of factors: nature, nurture, relationships, griefloss, changes in life stages, and often times, trauma. Before anything can be worked through, I need to gain your trust and I consider this to be an honor.
