My Approach to Helping
Do you want to break out of the darkness of depression or find an inner calm from anxiety? Do you need to develop a loving connection with yourself as opposed to one of judgment and criticism? I can help you. I firmly believe that everyone has the inner wisdom and strength needed for healing and growth. I help clients connect with inner resources creating an authentic, purposeful and fulfilled life. To work effectively with people I draw from my years of experience and ongoing training to create an integrative, holistic approach based on the needs and goals you bring to the table. As a certified hypnotherapist, I am uniquely able to offer this to my clients to reach various goals such as increasing confidence, improving performance, ending fears, losing weight, stopping unwanted habits and more. When in hypnosis, a person is in complete control and hypnosis is a natural state of mind, much like meditation. Clients can use hypnotherapy as an adjunct to regular talk therapy. Clients can also come to me for hypnosis only without psychotherapy.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I, myself, have been on my own journey of self love and discovery and have integrated many coping skills and self-care techniques into my life. I share this as I strongly believe that I need to "practice what I preach" and that it is essential to ensure that I am caring for myself in order to care for others, as I often tell my clients.
In 2003 I changed careers leaving administrative work and becoming a rape crisis counselor and victim advocate. Knowing this was my life's purpose, I pursued further education and earned my Master's degree in 2008. I have been in private practice since 2011 where I continue to find it an honor and privilege to be able to partner with others on their path toward finding peace and creating a life they want to live.
