In my San Francisco Therapy practice, I specialize in Individual Psychotherapy and Counseling.
Diagnosis broken into "Dia" and "Gnosis" means literally 'to know across'. Quick treatments may address a symptom only for the symptom to return. This may explain why some of the efforts you make to change are short lived. They are simply (or complexly) based upon an incomplete or haphazardly constructed map
Adult Challenges in Individual Therapy and Counseling may stem from desires to change one's relationships, unsatisfying careers, physical illness, existential, moral, or ethical crises, and non-progressive coping skills and or avoidance of current problems. While some results may come quickly, my approach isn't based primarily upon speed but rather a grounded integration. You are an individual and therefore your psyche takes whatever time it needs to heal itself. New habits and change take time, such as in dealing with an addiction.
Types of Individual Therapy in San Francisco. Once we decide to work together our sessions will usually involve one or more of the following topics: current situations, earlier life experiences, symbolic material from the unconscious (i.e. dreams), and our interpersonal communications.
Measuring Progress in Therapy Throughout our work you are invited to give feedback as to how your individual therapy is working and what may need changing. If you have any specific questions about what this may look like feel free to contact me for a no-charge consultation.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I enjoy working with individuals who have never been in therapy before. I ensure that you are comfortable, able to ask questions about what to expect, and provide measurement for what you are hoping to experience, change, and heal.
I also work with adolescents and children and seek ongoing clinical training to support this.
I have a background in business thus understand the challenges of family, career, and personal health.
