What's My Approach to Therapy?
I have specialized for over 20 years in helping smart, successful men understand why their most important relationships are so difficult and then help them to move forward feeling more oriented, confident and secure. I bring my professional and personal experience to the table. I'm a daughter, a wife and the mom of a son. I bring my compassion, genuine care along with straightforward (but kind!) honest feedback designed to help you grow. I'll ask you to dig deep and explore new territory but we will also keep an eye on simple, practical tools that can help now.
My Practice & Services
Therapy for Mid-Life Transitions is my second area of specialization. There are few things in life we can be sure of, but one of them is change. Our lives are always changing whether we want them to or not. With change, even "good change" brings loss. We all experience big and small losses throughout our lives. The break up of an important relationship, a parents divorce or departure, a betrayal (loss of trust), illness or injury, the death of a loved one. Loss is inevitable and requires grieving. Grieving (even small losses) moves us through to the other side and into the light again. If we are unable to truly grieve our losses, we are stuck in the dark, somewhere inside. So much of what I try to help people with is to know more about how they truly feel so they can grieve old losses and move forward.
