My approach is to meet you where you are at, and work collaboratively with you to achieve your goals. If you want to be really listened to, and be given the support and tools you need to make positive change, then I can help you. It takes courage and strength to face your vulnerabilities, and so I honor that by providing a safe and accepting atmosphere where your unique needs are heard. I work with adults and adolescents (ages 12 and older), individuals and families. I mainly work with people who are dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression (including postpartum), and attention difficulties. I love working with a variety of ages and stages. I truly enjoy doing this work. I feel honored to be allowed into people's lives, and to witness their growth. Please call for a free consultation or phone call. I look forward to talking with you!

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am skilled and experienced at working with people who have experienced trauma. A broad definition of trauma is any experience that has a lasting negative effect on your mind, body, or spirit. If your past feels like it is in the present, that's a clue that there is unresolved past trauma in your life. I am certified in EMDR therapy (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) and prefer to use that method in treating PTSD.

I also have skill and experience working with adolescents. Identity, peer relationships, anxiety, depression, academic difficulties, and ADHD are common issues for this age group. I especially enjoy helping parents to embrace the challenges of parenting their teens, rather than just survive these important, exciting years before launching.
