My Approach to Helping

Do you feel as though you are stuck in a painful or destructive cycle? Do you feel that patterns of thinking individually and in relationships are limiting you from living a happier and more fulfilling life? We hold trauma, grief, loss, and painful memories in our minds and bodies. If these issues aren't healed and released, they come out in painful and often destructive ways: Depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger, struggles with parenting, substance abuse, isolation, fear, etc. People often feel "stuck" in these issues and are caught in cycles that are difficult to break free. These destructive and painful cycles can be broken and you can be enabled to thrive personally and in your relationships.

I have a passion for creating a welcoming environment where all feel safe to experience healing and transformational change. I have served over 10 years in the mental health field with experience supporting parents, veterans, spouses, children, and more. In that time, I’ve been able to assist clients in reaching purposeful change after traumatic experiences, struggles in relationships, encounters with chronic mental illness or pain, and other concerns. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I not only focus on the individual, but on their entire system of relationships, family, and community.

Your mental health is the foundation to your daily life. Your life, relationships, mental health, and struggles are important to me. I see everyone in their unique and individual needs to ensure your experience is specific to your circumstances. I desire to work side-by-side with you to support you, improve your mental health, quality of life, and the relationships in your life.

More Info About My Practice

The last couple of years have significantly impacted our lives. We’ve changed the way we interact, added new stressors, increased isolation, and more. All of this, combined with the shortage of mental health professionals, emphasized why it was more important than ever to open my private practice, Kairos Therapy Institute. What started as a desire to help everyone with a longing for hope and wish to better themselves; has now become a reality where I can always put you and your care as my top priority.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Whether you have been in therapy before, or this is your first time seeking therapy: It is completely understandable to feel hesitant. Opening up is vulnerable. In my experience, the first step is making the appointment, and then it is my goal to help you feel safe and comfortable in the session. Once that step is taken, I create an environment where you feel listened to and connected with, as well as develop a plan that meets your individual emotional, relational. and mental health needs.
