John has had over 20 years of counseling experience including being part of a Psychiatric Team for the last 15 years. He uses many different counseling approaches based upon the needs of the individual. His expertise includes using clinical hypnotherapy with a core mindfullness approach.
John has helped many and maintains a focus of growth and recovery. His mission is simply to help others!
John has expertise in the treatment of anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, addictions, depression and has had positive outcomes in the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
John has helped people identify and change destructive or dysfunctional habits and has also helped people in marital distress.

John Lee Not only is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor but is also credentialed as a Professional Clinical
Counselor by the National Board of Certified Counslors. John belongs to the Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis which is a branch of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Both societies are recognized by the American Psychological Association. John is a Critical Incident Stress debriefer for Corporate Care Works, Crisis Care Network and soon other insurance companies. John would go to the work site if there should be a traumatic event to provide support and education on how abnormal events happen to normal people. Part of the education is more about the normal reactions to a traumatic event which include Physical, Cognitive, Behavioral, Emotional and Spiritual symptoms. These are normal reactions normal people experience to abnormal events.
John accepts most Insurance Plans. However, consumers need to understand most insurance companies will offer a limited number of sessions. After the authorized sessions John would have to justify more sessions based upon medical necessity. This system breaks confidentiality. Some insurance companies want actual copies of the medical records. John feels this break in confidentiality affects the individuals recovery potential.
Self pay is strongly advised. John's rates are affordable. John also gives back to the community by providing supportive counseling for the homeless or unemployed at either minimal or no cost.
