My Approach to Helping
Are you suffering from sleepless nights? Tightness and tension in your body? Is there chaos, stress from daily life and nervous system overload? Or are childhood traumas revisiting you within ways you parent or in your anger responses? Welcome to your journey to a place of peace and calm. Take a breath, walk in to nature, and find your true centered self. The progress and pace are yours to establish, but I sometimes offer gentle challenges and homework to move the process along in a positive way; working in a growth mindset capacity. I think telehealth is here to stay due to the increased accessibility it offers for all.
I provide mindfulness activities, cognitive reframing, therapeutic yoga techniques, body recognition, and grounding to bring you in to the present moment of your daily life. We can use strategies for distress tolerance and calming your polyvagal nervous system, as well as incorporate trauma impact statements for parenting and emotional regulation daily.
