My Approach to Helping
Big pat on the back; you have taken the first step to seek therapy for yourself or a loved one. I am here to provide a safe space where you can speak openly about what is making you feel stuck in your life. I will be here for you with a practice guided by humanism and respect. I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling, depending on what my client might need. Whether it is cognitive-behavioral therapy, existential work, career counseling, play therapy, narrative counseling, or many other approaches, my goal is to partner with you in affecting positive change in your life.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and my scruffy mutt, Gracie. I love a good game night especially if it involves playing Mahjong. Getting outdoors is a must, whether it\'s hiking, jumping waves at the beach or swimming in a lake. I also love to cook and craft; there is no DIY project I can\'t handle.
More Info About My Practice
I received my Master\'s of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from New York University (NYU) and did my undergraduate work at Binghamton University (SUNY) in Human Development, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In my broad career, I have had the opportunity to partner with a wide range of clients in different capacities from various ages and backgrounds. I was a school counselor and guided students in transitioning to the rigors of high school. I worked with college students as a career counselor, helping to navigate a career path that took into account their passion, values, and strengths. I\'ve also worked as a vocational counselor, running job readiness groups for younger and older adults with special needs.
