My Approach to Helping

Sometimes things happen and you just don't know how to handle them. It can make you very anxious.

You may feel you've gotten "off track" and need some direction. You may be overwhelmed and don't know what to do to make it better. You may be wondering what's wrong, and why this keeps happening. Perhaps you just don't feel like yourself - aren't content with your life - even though you've got a lot going for you. Maybe you've built the life of your dreams, but you're not able to really enjoy it. It still feels like something's missing. You want things to be different, you just don't know how to make that happen. But you do know something needs to change.

Most of us feel this way at some point in our lives. Especially when trying to handle the stress of life, relationships and the impact of past events. Of course you feel overwhelmed. Of course your anxiety is through the roof. Of course you're waiting for the other shoe to drop. But there is hope. You are not alone. You CAN feel better. It just takes some support, a new perspective, and a few new skills.

Hi. My name is Lesley, and I have spent the 15+ years helping people feel better, get back "on track" and live a complete, joyful and fulfilling life. I offer both coaching and psychotherapy. My approach is holistic. I address all aspects of your being: physical, mental, emotional, relational and spiritual. I truly want to hear your story and see if we can make it better. Please don't wait one more day. I look forward to connecting with you!

More Info About My Practice

I help to integrate the whole person, drawing on your strengths, positive qualities, past successes and inner resilience. I work with adults, adolescents and families on both personal and interpersonal issues. My approach is holistic. I address all aspects of your being: physical, mental, emotional, relational and spiritual. I use several holistic modalities, including EMDR and mindfulness-based practices. I also offer life coaching for entrepreneurs and high-achievers that focuses on helping clients live a more joyful, authentic and fulfilling life in line with their soul-led purpose.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

What I love about being a therapist is the incredible resilience of my clients! It is truly remarkable to witness someone's transformation from a difficult or stuck place to one that is expansive and allows their deeper self to shine through. I am passionate about helping you reconnect and restore health on all levels. One of my mentors once told me that the human spirit is indomitable. My work with my clients has shown me that this is undeniably true. I would be honored to hear your story and share your journey with you.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

If the ambivalence comes from wanting to "find the right fit" with a therapist, honor that. Choosing the right therapist for you is very important and can take some time. You need to feel comfortable. You are worth taking the time to find a fit that's good for you.

If, however, the ambivalence comes from being unsure about working on the issues, that's okay. Calling a therapist is scary. I get that. It's okay. Perhaps a coaching model would be a better fit for you, especially if you've already done a lot of therapy, but still have areas where you'd like to grow and develop.

Whatever it is, something is going on in your life right now that has you considering reaching out for support. Therapy is one potential great option, and coaching is another. I would encourage you to ask yourself this: if I don't make this call, what will be different tomorrow? Or the next day? Or the day after that? There is hope and things can get better... if you take that first step. And when you do, I will support you each step of the way.

What Makes up a Problem?

Sometimes people struggle with the idea of reaching out for support because they don't really have specific "problems." Their lives are going pretty well, there aren't specific complaints, but their lives could be better, they want more for themselves. They have dreams and goals that they'd like to pursue, but they don't know how to start. That's where life coaching can make all the difference. Working with a life coach can help you uplevel your life, transform thoughts and beliefs that are no longer serving you, and help you create the life of your dreams!
