My Approach to Helping
**During COVID-19 I am Currently Offering Telehealth Only**
Are you feeling Stuck? AnxiousUncertainty? Depressed? Need a change in your thoughts, life, relationships but not sure how to get there? Therapy has been something I have always felt passionate about from my experiences on both the giving and receiving end. The Therapeutic Relationship is extremely important to your need and right to feel safe, supported, encouraged, and empowered to tap into your own strengths and capabilities for change. Therefore I focus first on building such a relationship with everyone I have the privilege to work with. I use a systemic approach; helping you seek understanding and connection to how all of your relationships, especially early childhood and family relationships, have impacted, influenced and shaped your present relational patterns and dynamics.
I believe in us working together to identify what your goals are and to explore the depths of any barriers or underlying emotional pain that may be preventing you from where you want to be. I draw from various theories and therapeutic approaches as I assess what will be most helpful to each individual. Various therapeutic and clinical experiences within Residential, Schools, In-home Therapy, Community Mental Health, Groups, and Private Practice settings all over the past 15 years has helped me to develop and expand upon my therapeutic approaches.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy should help you with gaining Emotional Safety and Support; Insight; Accountability; Healing; and of course GrowthChange. Therapy should help you develop your own inner agent of awareness and change. If you have ever had a negative therapy experience, it is very unfortunate and I know it can deter people from believing that therapy can help.
However, I would encourage and challenge you to allow space for the fact that one experience does not reflect on the benefits and magnitude that the right therapy experience can have for you. I've been blessed to experience this power and benefit firsthand, as both the Professional and also as a client myself. I strongly believe in therapists doing their own work in therapy.
