My Approach to Helping
My greatest commitment in life is being compassionate and kind. Being a therapist has given me an opportunity to offer help and comfort during painful times and recovery and resolution from past hurts and trauma.
I can advise you during a crisis and overwhelming life transitions or work on a deeper level to understand the source of your distressing emotions, addictions or behaviors. My strengths include creating a safe and collaborative relationship, curiosity, and a deep respect to your inner spirit as the key source of all healing.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I have extensive experience working with people adjusting to loss, grief, or other life transitions. I have worked within a hospice program, counseled chronicallyseriously- ill persons, advised mid-life career and relationship transitions, and facilitated both individual and group bereavement counseling. I am also trained in addictions counseling and enjoy working with recovery.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love the connections of the therapeutic relationships I develop with my clients! I truly enjoy my work and feel so honored to be an active participant with my client's growth and life changes. I witness small and large shifts and improvements in their relationships, jobs, and lives. I believe our work together is sacred, as we access the healing power of the spirit within the heart of us all.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
I think one the most important factors in choosing a therapist is for you to experience being truly heard and understood. This can happen as quickly as during the initial phone consultation, or at the first appointment. I suggest you answer these questions after we talk or meet: Did I feel safe sharing my story and struggle? Did I feel respected? Do I believe we can work towards my healing goals?
