My Approach to Helping

I understand that death and other transitions are a normal part of life. Yet, we're usually not taught how to handle the common overwhelming emotions and instead are often advised to just move on or to accept the new normal.

Experiencing grief is very difficult, painful and disrupts every area of our lives. Adjusting to a health issue or any other major life change is stressful and exhausting. You may be feeling overwhelmed by sadness, fear or maybe even hopelessness on any given day. Or maybe you're distracted and having trouble concentrating, sleeping or soothing your pain with substances or other numbing activities?

I can help you navigate through this storm and help you restore your inner equilibrium and hope.

More Info About My Practice

I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield Provider, PPO and Blue Choice plans. I provide all forms for your reimbursement from most other insurance plans.

I accept HSA, credit cards, checks and cash.

My Therapy Focus

I offer a collaborative and mindfulness-based model of therapy. I will teach you the gentle yet powerful method of the Internal Family Systems model, and guide you to connect with your inner wise healer, your Self. Together we can listen deeply to your hurting parts within your inner world and explore how to bring calmness and confidence back into your life. Honoring your pain and loss becomes a trailhead to rebuilding a new life of meaning and joy.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

I think one the most important factors in choosing a therapist is for you to experience being truly heard and understood. This can happen as quickly as during the initial phone consultation or at the first appointment. I suggest you answer these questions after we talk or meet: Did I feel safe sharing my story and struggle? Do I think we can work towards my healing goals?
