What's My Approach to Therapy?

As a licensed, clinical professional counselor in the state of Illinois, I bring 10 years of experience working with individuals towards a mentally prosperous way of life. While each and every person coming to therapy has their own unique needs and seeks different outcomes from the counseling process, my style of therapy challenges the client to think critically, be mindful, and increase self-awareness, in order to affect positive change and realize true power. At Taking Charge, I create a trusting and secure environment for self-discovery and personal growth. I believe each step we take shows us new beginnings. You have taken the first step today, and I welcome you as you take another.

My Practice & Services

I accept self-pay and offer a sliding scale. Sliding scale is offered based on the current caseload and the investment of the client. This information is to be discussed prior to the first session. Please contact me to discuss this information further.

My Role as a Therapist

The role of the therapist is to create a comfortable environment for the client to feel safe to explore new solutions. The therapist should be engaged, knowledgeable, and empathetic during session.
