My Approach to Helping

“Be formless. Shapeless. LIKE WATER
You put water into a cup
IT BECOMES THE CUP
You put water into a bottle
IT BECOMES THE BOTTLE
You put water into a teapot
IT BECOMES THE TEAPOT
Water can FLOW or it can CRASH.
BE WATER, MY FRIEND."
-Bruce Lee.

Hi, my name is Quynh Pham, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I was born in Vietnam and came to America when I was 12-year-old. I was inspired to step out of my comfort zone and adapt not only to a new language but also to the cultural shift. From this challenging experience, I have learned to respect and connect well with people from all backgrounds.

I value the quality time I spend with friends and family who I love. I enjoy traveling, cooking, and exploring the culinary world because I believe that a hearty dish brings everyone together. Besides being with my friends and family, at the end of the day, it is my young son that is like a breath of fresh air and in the morning, he is the first ray of sunshine that brighten up my day. I enjoy seeing him grow and be curious as I continue to remind myself to be curious as well.

I am known for my mindfulness, practical approach, patience, and kindness. I believe that it is not a one size fits all type of treatment. My skillsets vary as I have experience in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as Motivational Interviewing.

The first step of helping is to understand how one views the world and to be able to walk in their shoes. I will walk with you. I have been in the field of mental health for over a decade, working closely with older adults, and adults with acute and chronic mental illness. I have a deep compassion and empathy with individuals and family who have a mental illness.

So if you are burdened by anxiety or panic attacks, or if your depression and loneliness prevents you from being who you want to be, or if you want to process through traumas… As your healing partners, allow me to use my skillsets to guidecoach and empower, so that you can be a better you for today and tomorrow.
