If you are ready to sit with your story in a confidential and sacred space and not let your "past", intense emotions to control you and change your relationship with substances/alcohol, I am just a call away. I will meet you wherever you are and ride the waves along with you and help you bring peace, calm, and balance into your life. You will have not only the skills to survive but also to thrive and live in the present and be ready to tackle your future when it becomes your present.
I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Mindfulness and Meditation and Motivational Interviewing trained. I specialize in working with trauma survivors specifically sexual violence survivors of all ages as well as survivors of abuse/neglect, domestic violence, substance use and mood disorders.
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
This is your session.Literally. With me, there are no expectations or a checklist of how things should be or should have been during any of your sessions. Psychotherapy sessions are focused on you; I meet you where you are without assumptions, premature interpretations and suggestions. We will get to know each other and you take an active role in your treatment plan. Together,when you are ready, we will revisit old stories and make sense of them so they no longer impact your life.
