My Approach to Helping
For more than thirty years, I have been a practicing psychotherapist, with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan. My undergraduate studies concentrated on addiction and general psychology. I specialize in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders, substance use, self-esteem issues, impulse control, anger management, couples therapy, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and psychosis.
I work with my clients to create a comfortable and safe space for therapy. My therapeutic approach is to engage clients in clear, meaningful conversations that focus on the reasons that bring them to therapy, along with other problems that may be presented. I follow the constructs of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy.
I consider it an honor to enter a client’s life in their time of need; to improve their outlook and overall quality of life.
