My Approach to Helping

Are you overly self-critical? Do you feel caught in painful repetitive experiences or just feel unsatisfied with your life? I can help you free yourself from old patterns that may be keeping you from achieving more success or interfering with your ability to create more fulfilling relationships. Change can be difficult, but the rewards are vast. I pay close attention to your personal experience of past and present and am mindful of the body/mind connection. We will work together to make sense out of your emotional reactions, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs and to change what gets in your way. Such an exploration often alleviates personal and interpersonal suffering and sets in motion a process of transformation!

Couples: Repetitive arguments that escalate often indicate important individual differences that are not understood, or old family patterns that are asserting themselves in your relationship! You can improve communication skills, reducing conflict. By examining underlying issues, and facilitating deeper empathy, love, and understanding, I can help intimacy grow! Recognizing the complexity and uniqueness of each individual or couple with whom I work is essential to my collaborative and in-depth approach.

More Info About My Practice

My clients often come from creative fields such as music, acting, art or writing. I have over 25 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families in short or long-term psychotherapy, or psychoanalysis and am active in my professional community. I love my work!

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My skills include helping people work through internal conflicts and freeing them so their lives can change for the better. That is particularly satisfying for me. For couples seeking a better relationship, one of my skills is in identifying the relationship patterns that are interfering with getting the desired love and closeness and bringing out the courage in people to be more vulnerable and expressive with one another.
