My Approach to Helping
I believe therapy is a collaborative process. Together we can explore issues that are hindering you from living a fully engaged and meaningful life. It is my hope all my clients feel safe and secure enough in our therapeutic relationship to explore, learn, and grow. I consider myself an integrative therapist which means I borrow from various theoretical orientations including psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy. However, I believe the most important aspect of therapy is our therapeutic alliance.
I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology. Depth Psychology focuses on making the unconscious more accessible so one can make more informed choices. Additionally, I graduated from the Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program from New Center for Psychoanalysis. I also have a master's degree in Spiritual Psychology.
