My Approach to Helping
Lucy Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania who has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families to help them manage the effects of anxiety, depression, grief, life stress, trauma, work stress, OCD, Adult ADHD, and Mild Autism. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from State University College in Potsdam, New York, and earned her Master's degree in Social Work from Syracuse University. Some of the different types of therapy that Lucy utilizes include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, solutions-focused therapy, play therapy, and family therapy. Lucy has significant experience working with children and adolescents. She enjoys helping youth to express their feelings, feel more positive about themselves and develop positive coping skills. When working with youth Lucy also helps their families to cope with stress. Lucy believes that each person is unique and helps them to find hope, understanding, and positive change in their therapeutic journey. Lucy values each person's individuality and realizes one solution doesn’t work for everyone. With Lucy, therapy is focused on each person's individual needs and goals.
