My Approach to Helping
Folks often seek out a therapist when they are in a state of transition and find that old thoughts and behaviors are interfering in dealing effectively with the challenges of their lives. They find themselves struggling with uncertainties about their future. Moreover, they frequently experience emotional blockages, preventing them from fulling owning their current lives and the joy that comes with this. My goal is to help you successfully transition.
My clients are people struggling with relationship conflicts, health crisis of themselves or a loved one, getting married, parenting, starting a new career, getting older, feeling lost. I build a place of non-judgement and hope, so you can feel emotionally safe to explore what is behind your feelings. I believe this is key to the therapy process.
Working together, I can help you make sense of the “what” and “why” of your current struggles, what wounds from your past are getting in your way, and offer strategies on healing so you can move forward with your life with a sense of joy and purpose.
I see my clients as resourceful, resilient people who are fully capable of cultivating the lives they desire. I help by offering therapy that is empathetic and goal oriented. I cannot promise it will be easy. There will be times when you will cry from emotional pain and be furious with how people treated you in the past and present. However, it is through experiencing these feelings that you will free yourself of your past and make room for joy, wonder, and a passion for your life.
