My Approach to Helping
I specialize in Adult Counseling for Women and Men, Couples Counseling, Executive Counseling and Men's Issues.
I can help you with issues such as anxiety, social discomfort and depression, loneliness and especially feelings of low self-esteem.
For men, you may be hesitant to try counseling and yet find yourself struggling with relationship intimacy, conflicting demands and unable to live up to your sense of whom you are "supposed to be." This is an area that I can help you with.
For women, you may be experiencing unfulfilling relationships, low self-esteem, poor boundaries and looking for answers and solutions. Together we can work on this!
If you are a couple trying to recover from loss of trust or other relationship wound, I can work with you to rebuild trust, communication and intimacy. Often men may be initially reluctant to go to couples counseling but quickly find themselves feeling comfortable and supported in our work together, which in turn, allows our efforts to be successful.
My approach is all about developing self-awareness and finding solutions that work.
More Info About My Practice
I offer my own life experiences as a former executive, consultant, leadership coach, husband, and father along with my passion for helping people live meaningful lives. I have benefited greatly from therapy throughout my life, both individually and as a couple. My personal growth through therapy and life experience has instilled within me a desire to help others find the meaning that I have been fortunate to find in my life.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I focus on helping couples find their way through relationship challenges, ranging from improved communication and overall fulfillment, to recovering from the trauma of infidelity and loss of trust. Much as a broken bone can heal to be stronger than before the break, I have found that couples who are committed to healing their relationship through couples therapy can former a stronger bond than they have ever had before.
As a former executive, I am especially aware of the stresses and challenges that your career can place on your life, relationships, and family. I can help you navigate your way through these challenges and find career success and all important life-balance.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
You probably feel that understanding your past is not nearly as important as solving the problems that you face today. I couldn't agree more! My approach to therapy is to help you understand what behaviors are blocking you from moving ahead and to help find meaningful and practical solutions so that real change can happen.
