My Approach to Helping
I received a Bachelor's in Psychology with honors from Florida International University and a Master's in Counselling from Yorkville University. I have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and presently hold a license as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (CRPO). I have a holistic approach that involves finding the unique style of therapy that is appropriate for each individual.
I believe that there is beauty in the broken pieces and though a strong therapeutic relationship we can work together to create the change that is needed to heal those broken pieces. We all are navigating different life circumstances that can impact how we are able to function. Through therapy, we can take the first step to being understood and building a solid foundation to move forward in our preferred direction.
I have knowledge and experience working with families, couples, adolescents, and young adults using an eclectic approach that involves finding the unique style of therapy that is appropriate for each individual. I deal with a wide variety of issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, sleep issues, marriage and family challenges, emotional regulation, improving self-worth, and handling grief and loss.
My passion and purpose is helping people and I look forward to our journey together and living the best life possible.
