My Approach to Helping

Choosing a therapist is an important decision. It's important that you feel safe, supported and understood. You are starting a journey of self-exploration and trusting the observer of that journey is paramount to your success.

Because I know that choosing the right therapist for your unique situation is an important decision, I offer a no-cost therapy or life coaching consultation to inquiries. I want you to make an informed decision. I want you to feel some level of rapport with me and comfort with my "style" of therapy , my philosophies for growth and for attaining your self-identified goals. Consultations can occur via the phone, video or in office.**

I have a M.A in MarriageFamily Therapy from Pepperdine University, am a Licensed Counselor and work with individuals & couples. I have worked in mental health for over 10 years. I draw from strategies & therapeutic tools from various schools of thought. Your therapy will be tailored for your unique needs. Remember, you are the expert in your life! I am just a navigator assisting in your journey. You can achieve a life filled with the career, relationships & a self-acceptance you have envisioned!

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Sometimes life can be very challenging.
And sometimes we can be proud, stubborn or fearful of change.
But what I have found, in my own personal life and in my work with Individuals & couples is that those difficult times have been the catalyst for amazing growth and positive change.
The difficult times can create a crack in our formidable exteriors (masks) allowing us to explore a new level of openness and vulnerability. Vulnerability is also the key to taking risks, trying something new, learning new ways to communicate, being honest with ourselves, conscious parenting and living the life we envisioned. I also believe that vulnerability is not all that bad (with practice!). Your life and relationships tend to get better if you remain open to the journey of self-exploration . Your journey can be wonderful, not without the occasional storm, but a journey filled with triumphant success and small joys. A journey dedicated to living your best life. A journey dedicated to being the version of yourself - maybe that also includes trying to be the best partner, employee, parent and friend that you can be. Find your path with the right therapist!
