My Approach to Helping
“All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on.” -Henry Havelock Ellis- But, it can be so hard to figure out which to do. Life isn’t easy, but it doesn’t have to be so hard either. My main objective is to help you and your family live better. Whether that means managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, or challenging behaviors; navigating relationship difficulties; or dealing with a traumatic situation, I'll be here to listen and support you in figuring out new ways to thrive. I work from an insight-oriented, strengths-based approach to treat children, teens, adults, and families.
More Info About My Practice
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Art Therapist. Using a combination of traditional talk, play, and art therapy methods, it is my goal to help clients express themselves and find new solutions to life's problems. Sometimes we don't have the words to express what's going on for us internally. That's where art can be very helpful - it gives words to things that are so hard to say.
When we can finally express the problem, we can find a solution. Though I work with clients from many diverse backgrounds, I am a Christian and can integrate a Christian perspective into therapy if you choose. Give me a call - I'm ready to support you and your family to live better.
