While your relational style helped you to navigate your childhood, you, like many people, may feel frustrated by painful life-long patterns of relating (to yourself and others) which seem to repeat today. I understand this frustration and work with folks to more deeply understand themselves so that they can enact real and lasting change.

Within the context of my warm and curious presence, and within the safe container which we create together, I will work to help you to re-connect with all of the different aspects of yourself - your feelings, thoughts, dreams and images. It is through this deeper connection and self-understanding that the foundation for a healthy shift is formed.

I have found that this type of depth work is highly effective and needs frequent contact to be most efficacious. To that end, I meet at least one time weekly, and sometimes 2-3 times per week.

More Info About My Practice

I believe that effective therapy can be life-changing, and I am committed to making my services as accessible as possible. I accept some insurance and offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to those in need. If you feel that we might be a good match, I invite you to call me to discuss your financial situation and what we might both feel comfortable with.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

It is normal to have mixed feelings about beginning therapy. You may feel drawn to therapy due to a crisis, a problem in a relationship, or feel that something is amiss in your life. On the other hand, you may fear that going to therapy means that there is something wrong with you, or that it is not "normal." On the contrary, I believe that seeking therapy is a sign of courage and strength, as being vulnerable and sharing your intimate thoughts and feelings is not easy!

If we work together, I will encourage you to connect more deeply with your own intuition and inner knowing, and I suggest you employ that same intuition and inner knowing in your search for a therapist. A good "fit" between therapist and client is crucial for any therapy to be effective, yet is almost impossible to quantify! As you search for a therapist, check in with yourself - your own emotional and physical feelings, your thoughts and impressions - and use that to help you make your choice. You want to select a therapist to whom you feel a connection, and with whom you feel comfortable.
