My Approach to Helping
Many of us have had little experience with the kind of truly supportive relationships that make healing possible. A good therapeutic relationship, one that allows us to be fully ourselves while recognizing our unique potential, creates the optimal conditions for healing. I provide a place where you can feel safe, and your most difficult feelings can be explored. My approach is especially helpful when you want to resolve grief and loss, heal childhood wounds, relieve depression and anxiety, improve communication, increase self esteem and develop more satisfying relationships. I work with individuals, couples, groups, and families, and I'm available for phone and online video sessions, as well. I've practiced for 20 years, as an art therapist, as the director of a number of outpatient mental health centers, and in private practice. I am a former President of the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Los Angeles, a Certified Gestalt Therapist and a core faculty member of Pacific Gestalt Institute, a training institute for therapists.
