My Approach to Helping
I have been trained in an approach to treating depression that is focused on helping you feel better early in the sessions. I will work towards helping you function optimally by using deep relaxation. When you leave the session, I would expect you to feel better. Depression doesn’t change overnight. We will work together to reduce the amount of worrying and introspection you are doing, help you balance your thinking, so you are not plagued by negative thoughts, and support you from becoming depressed again.
As a hypnotherapy practitioner, I use various relaxation tools and techniques to help you function optimally. If you suffer from PTSD or phobias, I am trained in a method in which I do not even need to know the details of what happened to you. The approach uses guided imagery, and I usually expect to see improvement in symptoms after one session.
