My Approach to Helping
I commend you for taking care of your mental health. I know how difficult this step is because I was in your shoes once. I am a therapist because a therapist guided me towards finding my best self. Who am I today? Well my name is Ani Ifiktchyan I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and owner of Solace Mental Health Therapy in beautiful Burbank, California where I grew up, married my husband, ran a family restaurant and welcomed my children into this world! I work with young adults, adults and elderly individuals and families— I use a diversified approach tailored to the unique needs of each new client.
I have over 5 years of experience in a variety of settings with diverse clients. Areas of expertise include:
Anxiety and depression
Phase of life changes, grief, and loss
Life stresses and next steps
Relationship challenges: couples and families
Substance Abuse support for loved ones
I know there are many changes that happen in an individual’s life throughout a life cycle and that is why I am here to help with these transitions.
I am licensed in the state of California. I graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with my Master’s Degree in Social Work. I graduated from California State University, Northridge with my Bachelor’s in Business Management. Born in Armenia and raised in the United States, I am very sensitive to cultural differences and understand multicultural views of mental health. I am proud of my Armenian roots and I am Fluent in English and Armenian.
I am firm believer that an individual is built to tackle whatever life throws at them. Life is not perfect, but your perception and understanding towards the challenges that one endures can be perfectly understood if you process it with a mental health professional.
